PLAINVILLE - A local man has been accused of pointing a bow and arrow at a woman while threatening to kill her.

Adam Dzilenski, 28, of 452 East St., is facing charges of first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree threatening and disorderly conduct.

According to the police report, Dzilenski’s female roommate - who has not been identified - called police and said he had threatened her with a bow and arrow Friday, at about 11:05 p.m. Upon arrival, police found Dzilenski in the apartment next to a bow and arrow that was on a couch. He was ordered at gunpoint to show his hands. Police said he immediately complied.

According to the victim, Dzilenski asked her to leave the apartment that night and she told him she would leave in the morning when someone was available to pick her up. This started an argument, she alleges, that prompted Dzilenski to take his bow and arrow, point it at her and pull back the arrow, as if he was going to shoot, according to the report.

Dzilenski, the woman alleges, then said he was going to kill her and that “they” would not find her body, the report said. The woman was able to run into a bathroom, locker herself in and call police.

When police spoke to Dzilenski, he admitted that he wanted his roommate out of the apartment because he believes she may have brought bed bugs into the unit. He denied threatening the woman.

Police said Dzilenski told officers he normally keeps his bow and arrow in a closet, and that he could not explain why it was out on the couch. The weapon was seized by officers.

Dzilenski was arraigned Monday in Bristol Superior Court, where he was issued a protective order that bars him from contacting the complainant. He is being held on $5,000 bond and is due back in court on Oct. 10.
