PLAINVILLE – The opportunity to be an historical detective for a night is coming on Tuesday April 17 when the Historical Society hosts Plainville Mystery Night at the Museum.
The program will begin at 7 p.m. at the Historic Center at 29 Pierce Street. Doors will open at 6:45 p.m. for those who would like a head start. Refreshments will also be served.
Participants will be able to view and try to identify fascinating artifacts and photographs from the past. From school photos, old kitchen gadgets, and other useful items to memories from World War II, the fifties and the town’s manufacturing legacy, this collection is intended to make history come alive for everyone. Those with a piece of local history to share are encouraged to bring it along.
The Historical Society extends an invitation to all, with a special welcome to those who may be new to Plainville and would like to learn more about the town. Information on each item will be revealed at the end of the program.
