Sports Roundup: Plainville girls soccer loses lead late, falls to Hall in overtime

NEW BRITAIN - The Plainville girls team soccer lost 2-1 to Hall in overtime Thursday night.

The Blue Devils held a 1-0 lead before the Warriors tied it with six minutes left in regulation.

Delaney Beausoleil scored the only goal for Plainville.

Giovanna Dionicio and Haley Berkowitz scored the goals for Hall.

Plainville goalie Maggie Rund did her best to keep the Blue Devils in the contest and finished with 10 saves.

However, it was the Plainville offense that struggled only putting five shots on goal against Warriors goalie Sarah Peschke.

Sarah Peschke had four saves for Hall.

The Blue Devils will face Rocky Hill on Tuesday and will look to get back to .500 after dropping to 4-5 with the loss.
