Plainville Sports Hall of Fame announces 2021 induction candidates

The Plainville Sports Hall of Fame is pleased to announce its induction candidates for 2021. After a necessary hiatus in 2020, the committee has been working diligently to secure another outstanding class to represent Plainville.

This years’ selections include Distinguished Service Award recipient Matthew Straub, Class of 1982, Todd Goodall, Class of 1993, Shawn Curtis, Class of 1996, Naoemi Villafane Raimondi, Class of 2001, Thomas “TJ “Ferguson and Philip Rothkugal and Jennifer Dabrowski Hover, Class of 2004. In addition, two legendary State Championship Basketball Teams will be honored with the induction of both the 1958-59 Men’s team and the 2000-01 Women’s team.

The induction ceremonies will be held Saturday, Nov. 20 at Hawk’s Landing in Southington. The social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. with dinner to follow at 6:30 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at Modern Barbershop (Angelo’s), Gnazzo’s and The Central Connecticut Dental Group (Dr.Rusty Camp).
