SOUTHINGTON - Police have charged a man with possession of child pornography.

Gary Termine, 52, of East Hampton, turned himself in Friday. He is facing one count of second-degree illegal possession of child pornography.

Police said the investigation began on April 26, when they received a report of someone finding child porn in a detached garage belonging to a home on Woodruff Street. The complaint said there were numerous photographs in multiple boxes.

Police responded and found 48 images of suspected child pornography. Investigators later traced the photos back to Termine, according to police.

Termine is free on $100,000 bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Bristol Superior Court next Monday.
