SOUTHINGTON - Police are investigating after a man crashed into a local bar on Sunday.

According to police, Bristol resident Nathan Cannon, 22, was driving west in a Volkswagen Jetta on West Main Street at about 2:27 a.m., when he left the roadway and crashed into the east side of the Hop Haus restaurant and bar.

No injuries were reported.

Police said the accident caused damage to both the vehicle and the building, at 22 West Main St.

No charges have been filed, as police on Monday said they were still investigating the incident.

An employee at Hop Haus on Monday said the business had crews working on the damage to the building and would not be open for business. They “tentatively” are planning to open on Tuesday, the employee said.
