SOUTHINGTON - Bristol Hospital Multi-Specialty Group has opened its new office on Main Street, providing residents with services targeted to the local community.

The 2,000-square-foot office in Suite 204 on the first floor of the building at 98 Main St. includes medical sub-specialties and primary care with five exam rooms and an X-ray suite.

“This has been a strategy that has been in the works for a year now,” said Tiffany Fernandez, administrator for Bristol Hospital Multi-Specialty Group.

Fernandez said that there were previously Southington offices to handle urology and psychology, but this new office expands services.

The following providers are now seeing patients at Bristol Hospital Multi-Specialty Group’s new Southington office:

nPeter Bellezza, DPM, MS: foot and ankle surgery, and podiatry

nChristopher Betz. DO: sports medicine

nPeter D’Addario, MD: urology

nRoger El-Hachen, MD: internal medicine (primary care)

nJennifer McCallister, MD: general surgery

nJoseph Noon, MD: behavioral health

nShweta Upadhyay, MD: pulmonary medicine

nLi Zhu, MD: family medicine (primary care)

“Having these types of specialized offices are what we need to do in order to remain competitive,” said Chris Boyle, director of public relations at Bristol Hospital. “We want to be able to bring care closer to home.”

Boyle said that Betz and Bellezza are “really helping to move orthopedics forward” at Bristol Hospital and that the doctors as a whole are a “wonderful group or providers.”

“Doctor Bellezza was at this year’s Apple Harvest Festival in Southington and he was very busy checking the feet of the runners and others who came up to his booth,” said Boyle.

Betz, Boyle said, specializes in sports medicine and especially baseball related injuries. As a resident of Cheshire, Betz works with both The New Britain Bees and The Bristol Blues teams as well as Wolcott High School.

“Bristol Hospital provides high quality care and we are excited for people to get to know our team of board-certified doctors,” said Fernandez.

Fernandez said that Bristol Hospital is pleased with the design of this location and that the hospital anticipates future expansion of services as well.

Bristol Hospital Multi-Specialty Group at Southington is open Mondays from noon to 5 p.m. and Tuesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, or to make an appointment, call 860-426-2851.
