SOUTHINGTON - A local woman has been accused of driving under the influence with a teenager in the vehicle.

Jenessa Ives, 33, faces charges of operating under the influence and risk of injury to a minor.

Police said Tuesday that officers were called on July 3 about a vehicle driving erratically by a driver who appeared to be under the influence.

Investigators located Ives and found that she was intoxicated, according to police.

Police said Ives had a 15-year-old, who was not identified, in the vehicle at the time of the allegations.

No injuries were reported.

Ives is free on a $2,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to be arraigned in Bristol Superior Court on July 16.
