SOUTHINGTON - The Southington Chamber of Commerce welcomed Elegance Dental to the community.
Elegance Dental, located at 775 Queen St., moved into their newly constructed building, where 7-Eleven once stood, in May.
They started taking their first patients at the end of that month.
Each dental lab has high-definition televisions for patients to watch and high-tech digital X-ray machines.
“Our reception from the community has been very good,” office manager Wendy Barkowski said. “Things are really picking up and a lot of patients are starting to come in. Our patients like how clean our office is and how everything is brand new, top-of-the-line and state-of-the-art. They enjoy working with our doctor, Dr. Harjot Virk; she is young and energetic and up to date on all of the current techniques.”
Taylor Crofton, executive director of the Southington Chamber of Commerce, brought along balloons and a large ribbon to cut Friday as she and several other Chamber members celebrated the opening.
Breakfast was provided by Paul Gregory’s.
“The new building is absolutely beautiful; it’s hard to remember that this used to be a 7-Eleven,” Crofton said as she and the other visitors were led on a tour. “With the kind of enthusiasm I’m seeing from the staff, I can already tell what kind of business this will be. Elegance Dental is ready and eager to make their claim here in town.”
