SOUTHINGTON - The Barnes Museum will host its 14th Annual Antiques Appraisal Night on Thursday, Oct. 18, from 6 to 8:30 pm at the museum at 85 N. Main St.
In past years, appraisal nights have drawn hundreds who attended this annual museum fundraiser.
Patrons are asked to bring their treasured antiques to the Barnes Museum, where highly accredited guest appraisers from throughout the state will evaluate, appraise, and answer any questions visitors have in regard to their family heirlooms and cherished antique items.
Items such as furniture, glass, china, clocks, jewelry, post cards, toys, books, dolls, oriental rugs, military, paintings and more may be brought to the museum for appraisal.
Photographs of larger items will be accepted. A fee of $4 per item or three items for $10 will be charged. There is no limit to items brought in for appraisal.
The museum doors will remain open until everyone has their chance to meet one on one with an appraiser. All proceeds from this fundraiser will be placed into the Barnes Museum restoration fund to be used for the repair of the museum veranda roof and deteriorating gazebo.
