Southington police ID victim of motorcycle crash

SOUTHINGTON -- Police have identified a man who suffered serious injuries during a motorcycle accident over the weekend. 

Police on Monday said that Gregory Peterson, of Southington, was taken to Hartford Hospital following a collision on Friday, around 11:04 p.m. 
 
Driving a motorcycle west on West Queen St., Peterson collided with a vehicle being driven by Bruce Sluis, of Bristol, as it left the driveway of the Smiths Medical facility, located at 201 W. Queen St. According to police, Sluis' vehicle entered the path of Peterson, causing him to strike his car. 
 
The crash ejected Peterson from the motorcycle. He suffered serious injuries. 
Police said Sluis was taken to Bristol Hospital for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
