Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Southington

SOUTHINGTON - A pedestrian suffered non life-threatening injuries Thursday morning after being struck by a vehicle.

Police said the victim, who has not been identified, was struck while walking on the sidewalk that crosses the driveway into CVS, at 310 Main St., around 8:45 a.m. The driver was leaving CVS.

Police said the victim was taken to an area hospital for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

The road was closed for a short time while officers took measurements and conducted an investigation. The investigation is ongoing.

Police said they are withholding the identities of those involved at this time.
