SOUTHINGTON -- A Southington woman has been accused of stealing someoneâ€™s identity.
Shawnya Watson, 36, allegedly opened an Internet account and two VISA cards using the victimâ€™s name, police said Thursday.
She was arrested on July 16 on three counts of third-degree identity theft, two counts of falsely obtaining a credit card, two counts of attempted credit card theft and one count of sixth-degree larceny.
According to police, the victim sustained a balance of $334 because of the fraudulent activity.
Watson is free on $10,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned on Oct. 13 in New Britain Superior Court.
