Young man killed in Southington car accident

SOUTHINGTON -- A young Southington man was killed in a car accident over the weekend.

Police identified the victim as 23-year-old Anthony Ingala, of 946 Meriden Ave.

Ingala was killed during an accident on Saturday, around 3:50 p.m., on South End Road, in the area of Brownstone Drive. He was the sole occupant of the single vehicle involved, police said.

According to police, Ingala, driving south in a 2013 Hyundai Elantra on South End Road, left the right side of the road and continued south along the edge of the street. The vehicle eventually collided with trees in the area of Brownstone Drive, where it came to rest.

Ingala was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The police department’s Accident Investigation Team responded to the scene and is still investigating.
