Southington police looking for suspect who chased, threatened people with axe

SOUTHINGTON -- Police are looking for a man they say threatened multiple people while chasing them with an axe.

Police released a photo of the suspect on Monday, saying he allegedly was seen on Saturday wielding an axe in the parking lot of 75 Center, a restaurant located at 75 Center St., around 1 a.m.

Police said the man was seen chasing people and threatening them in the lot. He also, according to police, used the axe to damage a vehicle that was parked nearby.
