SOUTHINGTON - The Southington baseball team scored at least one run in every inning and cruised to any easy win over Hall on Saturday afternoon at Southington high school.

The Blue Knights banged out 17 hits in the contests which led to 10 runs in the 10-1 victory. Six different players for Southington had at least two hits, but it was Jake Babon that was the offensive star. The senior went 3-4 in the game with a home run, a double, two runs scored and two RBI. Junior Brandon Kohl also added a home run, among five extra-base hits for the Blue Knights.

On the hill it was John Mikosz that picked up the victory for Southington and he was great. The senior allowed one run in the second inning but it was unearned. Mikosz didn’t go the complete game, but he pitched six innings and allowed just two hits and three walks while striking out six batters.
