Southington leads area football teams with three players participating in Governor's Cup against Rhode Island

NEW BRITAIN - The Connecticut roster for Saturday’s Governor’s Cup, the high school all-star football game against Rhode Island, is out.

In total, six players between the New Britain and Bristol area schools made the team.

Ian Hall, Joe Koczera and Tim O’Shea will represent Southington. Newington’s Kamani Chambers and Luke Pappalardo will also play. Gabriel Updegraff will represent Bristol Central.

The game will be played at 2 p.m. at Veterans Stadium in New Britain.
