No. 7 Southington football improves to 7-1 with 20-0 victory on the road over Glastonbury

GLASTONBURY - The No. 7-ranked Southington High football team improved to 7-1 for the season with a 20-0 victory on the road over Glastonbury on Friday night, scoring all the points in the second quarter.

Senior running back Marion Bennett scored on touchdown runs of 15 and 21 yards in the period to get the Blue Knights out to a 14-0 lead. Then Brady Lafferty connected with Josh Vitti on a 46-yard TD pass to make it 20-0 just before halftime.

The teams played a scoreless second half as Glastonbury fell to 4-4 for the season.
