NEW BRITAIN - Four prominent John Downey Drive-area buildings are on the market, accounting for more than 150,000 square feet of warehouse and office space in the city industrial park.
The building at 55 John Downey Drive is the largest, with more than 64,000 square feet of floor space for industrial, commercial, distribution or warehouse use.
According to the real estate listing, the 1966 building can be subdivided to accommodate three businesses.
Peterson LLC is asking nearly $1.9 million for the 3.4-acre lot.
According to records in the city tax collector’s office, the most recent real estate tax bill on the property was $64,619.80.
Just off John Downey Drive, One Hundred Fifty Realty LLC continues efforts through O,R&L Commercial of Rocky Hill to sell or lease its office and warehouse space at 150 Production Court. At more than 27,000 square feet, the 45-year-old building is divided into seven areas, including three warehouses and two offices. Spaces are available measuring 3,000 square feet and larger.
Owners are seeking $1.1 million for the 2-acre site. The most recent annual real estate tax bill totals more than $38,000.
Metal Works Enterprises LLC’s building at 250 John Downey Drive remains on the market after nearly 16 months. As first reported in The Herald in April, the company has amassed the second-highest delinquent real estate tax bill among city commercial and industrial property owners.
Tax collector records show the company owes the city more than $131,000. The original 2012 bill of $12,274.85 has multiplied exponentially, with interest accounting for more than $30,000 of the most recent tally. Tax and water liens have been attached to the parcel since early 2016.
The location, including a 20,750-square-foot building leased in part to Salamon Industries, is available for $1.2 million.
Reno Properties has listed the 33,700-square-foot commercial/industrial building at 151-155 John Downey Drive at an undisclosed price. United Plastics Technologies bought the 46-year-old building and property in 2011 for $900,000.
More than 10,450 square feet is available and can be divided into two spaces.
The most recent real estate tax bill on the property was $28,420.40, according to the tax collector’s records.
The properties for sale are among more than 40 industrial and commercial buildings on and around John Downey Drive.
