WESTPORT - Police say two men have been arrested and a third is on the run after a violent street brawl in Connecticut.

WTIC-TV reports the fight originated from a confrontation at a home in Derby. Police say a 34-year-old man attacked a 41-year-old man with a hammer before fleeing the scene in his van.

The victim jumped into his own car and chased the man. Police say the chase ended up in Westport where the van crashed into a building.

Officers arriving at the scene found the two men fighting in the street. The men were handcuffed and later charged with reckless endangerment, with one also facing charges for assault and breach of police.

Authorities are seeking a third driver who was caught on video participating in the fight before fleeing.
