Berlin police looking for Subway robber

BERLIN - A Subway sandwich shop on the Berlin Turnpike was robbed Monday night by a man who implied that he was carrying a weapon.

Police are still looking for the man, described as between 20 an 25 years old.

The shop, at 1800 Berlin Turnpike, was robbed around 8:50 p.m. The implied that he had a weapon in his pocket but none was shown, said Deputy Chief Christopher Ciuci.

A clerk saw the man run out the door toward Bishop’s Curve, a nearby side street. No vehicle was seen.

A search of the area with a police dog was unsuccessful, Ciuci said.

Police said the suspect was wearing a knit cap with a stripe design and a two-toned hooded sweatshirt. Police released photos of the man Thursday. .
