NEW BRITAIN - Meet “The Man Who Came to Dinner” in a production now playing at the Connecticut Theatre Co.

“The Man Who Came to Dinner” is a comedy in three acts by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart. It is set in December in a small town in Ohio.

Sheridan Whiteside is a peculiar critic who is invited to dinner at the house of the prosperous Stanley family. His stay at the house goes longer than planned because he slips on a patch of ice outside and injurers his hip.

While in recovery he is treated by Dr. Bradley, the town physician, and Miss Preen, his nurse. His behavior becomes demanding and threatening, which intimidates the Stanleys and forces them to allow him to stay until he is healed.

The show will run Friday and Saturday nights at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. through March 25.

Tickets are $19.75 for general admission and $47.75 for table seating for two or four guests.

The Connecticut Theatre Co, is located at the Repertory Theatre at 23 Norden St.
