Goodwin Tech girls volleyball picks up first win of season against MLC

NEW BRITAIN - The Goodwin Tech girls volleyball team didn’t have much trouble picking up its first win of the season.

The Gladiators swept MLC 3-0 in set scores of 25-19, 25-19 and 25-17 Monday evening in their home opener.

Korina Trammell led the team with six aces and two digs, while teammate Ada Guzman recorded five aces, four kills, one assist and two digs. Tiana Rodriguez also had four aces.

“We played well,” Goodwin Tech first-year head coach Christina Stisser said. “We did struggle with some errors on serving, but overall we came out with a win.”

Goodwin Tech will next host Kaynor Tech on Wednesday at 5:15 p.m.
