BERLIN - The Berlin girls golf team is playing with a bit of swagger. At least that’s how head coach Jim Barnes is putting it.

Behind Bridget McQuillan’s day-best 46, the Redcoats broke the 200 mark and shot a season-best as they beat No. 8 Glastonbury 198-206 Friday afternoon at Timberlin Golf Course.

“The girls are starting to get better and better,” Barnes said. “It’s a lot of fun to watch these girls play. They’re playing some of their best golf right now.”

Rachel Varley finished right behind the medalist McQuillan with a 47, while Jessica Nappi and Morgan Jones added solid scores of 50 and 55, respectively.

The match marked the end of a five-game homestand for Berlin, as the Redcoats finished the stretch with a record of 4-1, including wins in the last three.
