To The Editor:
I’ve been a resident of New Britain for close to 70 years and really don’t have too many complaints about the city, its services, or the hundreds (thousands?) of employees. In the past few weeks I’ve had to make use of some of the services, mainly at City Hall, that are available and was treated with respect and dignity, and a healthy smattering of humor. I soon came to the realization that many folks overlook or would rather not see what exactly their tax dollars do, because it’s not happening in plain sight!
To all of those working behind the scenes, the unsung heroes, I extend a hearty THANK YOU for your service. To those who are visible on a daily basis I thank you as well.
