Barbara (Williams-Moroni) Fahey left us on April 26,2021 to join her beloved Gremma Katy Kobus. She was the daughter of the late Arthur Vincent Williams and Helen T. (Kobus) Moroni and her adopted father Lawrence F. Moroni. After attending local schools she married her first true love, John J. Fahey and together they had four children. They shared many “first” memories. She married the late John W. Patman of Delray Beach, Fla. He encouraged her to grow as a human being and during their years supported her in furthering her education and she was valedictorian for her graduating class. Barbara held many jobs in her life, her favorite one being the Reading is FUNdamental coordinator for the City of New Britain, where she could share her love of reading. She was active in the community affairs mainly with the anti poverty groups such as the Lafayette-Newbrite Neighborhood Action Agency. She was a lifelong reader, lover of nature and poetry, and respecter of all living things. After a rain she could be seen putting earth worms back into the grass so they wouldn’t dry out on the sidewalks. She didn’t like to dine out, preferred her own cooking and in later years her daughter Sue’s, except of course pizza and the Strand or Capitol Lunch Hot Dogs and her wise owl chips and coke cola.

Barbara leaves behind: brother James Moroni of California and his family, her three daughters: Catherine and Susan of New Britain and Diane of Florida, 9 grandchildren: John, Michael, Michelle, Shane, Chris, Sean, Sarah, Christina, Donovan, 18 great grandchildren: John, Mason, Mitchell, Brittany, Connor, Brendan, Michael, Paisle, Kayla, Asher, Nicolas, Brittany, Jordanne, Robert, Isiah, Alaina, Mason and Jaxson, 4 great great grand children in Utah, many nieces, nephews, and cousins scattered all over the United States and her ex husband John Fahey, her childhood friend Irene Zajachowski, and her aide/buddy Nancy M. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Lawrence James Fahey (Butch) and her brother Lawrence O. Moroni.

It was her wish to be cremated and asked to be remembered by doing a kindness to another living thing. She also said to stop and listen to the frogs in the spring/summer.

The family will be hosting a gathering on Sunday, May 16th. For more info please contact Susan at susanfahey58@yahoo.com.
