New Britain has nearly 30 new coronavirus cases; updates for Berlin, Newington, Southington, Plainville

There were no area coronavirus-associated deaths reported Tuesday, according to state health officials. There were six deaths reported statewide for a total stands at 8,020.

New Britain has had 204 virus-associated deaths among residents, while Bristol has had 133, Newington 100, Southington 94, Plainville 37, Berlin 30 and Plymouth 9 since reporting began.

There were 21,338 coronavirus tests reported Tuesday with 738 coming back as positive cases, a positivity rate of 3.46%. There was an increase of 13 in state residents hospitalized with the virus for a total of 507.

New Britain had 27 new coronavirus cases reported Tuesday and has had an overall total of 9,157.

Bristol added seven new coronavirus cases since Monday and has had an overall total of 5,713.

Southington had four new virus cases over the past day and has had 3,530 cases overall.

Newington had an additional one case reported since Monday and has an overall total of 2,650.

Berlin had five new virus cases over the past day and has an overall total of 1,520.

Plainville had three new virus cases reported since Monday and has an overall total of 1,497.

Plymouth added one new coronavirus case over the past day and has an overall total of 908.
