Latest coronavirus case numbers for Bristol, Plymouth, Plainville, Southington

For the second straight day there were no coronavirus-associated deaths reported from the area, but there were seven reported statewide, according to state health officials. There have been 8,124 virus deaths overall.

New Britain has had 209 virus-associated deaths among residents, while Bristol has had 135, Newington 100, Southington 94, Plainville 37, Berlin 31 and Plymouth 10 since reporting began.

There were 23,455 coronavirus tests reported Wednesday with 609 coming back as positive cases, a positivity rate of 2.6%. There was a decrease of 10 in state residents hospitalized over the past day with the virus for a total of 333. There are 87 residents hospitalized in Hartford County hospitals, the same amount as Tuesday.

New Britain had eight new coronavirus cases reported over the past day and has had an overall total of 9,446.

Bristol added seven new coronavirus cases reported Wednesday and has had an overall total of 5,884.

Southington had 10 new virus cases over the past day and has had 3,640 cases overall.

Newington had an additional two cases reported since Tuesday and has an overall total of 2,679.

Berlin had four more cases over the past day and has an overall total of 1,559.

Plainville had no change since Tuesday and has an overall total of 1,547.

Plymouth had an increase of two over the past day and has an overall total of 942.
