NEW BRITAIN – Easter eggs will be scattered all over Chesley Park this Saturday.
New Britain Parks, Recreation and Community Services is hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt April 1 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the William A. DeMaio Athletic Complex turf field at Chesley Park, 23 Wildwood St.
There will be inflatable amusements, games, live DJ entertainment, prizes, crafts and fun.
“This newer event is one that residents have grown to look forward to, and is a great way to kick off spring,” Mayor Erin Stewart said. “Easter is right around the corner and this will be a great opportunity for families to spend some quality time together in one of our gorgeous parks.”
Hundreds of children attended last year and staff expect the crowds to be even bigger this year.
“We are excited to hold the Easter Egg Hunt at Chesley Park,” Parks, Recreation and Community Services Director Erik Barbieri said. “The event filled up last year; register soon to make sure you don’t miss this event.”
