NEWINGTON - The Newington Kiwanis Club donated oatmeal packages to the local food bank Tuesday.
Kiwanis Club member Joe Wells presented packages of oatmeal to Carol Labrecque, director of Newington Human Services, for the food bank.
"Joe, along with about a dozen members of the Kiwanis sponsored Newington High School Key Club, worked with other Kiwanis area clubs and sponsored groups to package this and other foods at an April 22 event," Newington Kiwanis Club President Dan Henry said. "Newington Kiwanis donated $200 towards the purchase of the ingredients. The money was raised by the flea market."
