Bristol resident Lorraine Gauvin, 76, began running for the first time in her life last year and was able to place second for her age group in an 8K race in North Carolina.
Gauvin's initial goal was to be able to run a 5K with her daughter, Marie Conner, 45, and her grandson, Grant Conner, 15, who live in North Carolina. When she found out that her family members were considering running in the Richmond 8K together on Nov. 12, 2022, she made it her goal to join them in a three-generation run.
